No word yet or confirmation on whether she’ll be playing the Shi’ar empress Lilandra or something else entirely but I really think she looks perfect for the role of fallen Shi’ar royalty.

Chastain has made a lot of high-profile movies in the past including Mama, The Help, Interstellar, Zero Dark Thirty. She’s also made other films like Crimson Peak and The Huntsman: Winter’s War. This won’t, however, be her only comic book movie as she’s also set to star and produce Painkiller Jane, a character created by Marvel’s Joe Quesada and Jimmy Palmiotti.

Opening Nov. 2, 2018, X-Men: Dark Phoenix stars James McAvoy as Charles Xavier, Michael Fassbender as Magneto, Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, Nicholas Hoult as Beast, Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, Alexandra Ship as Storm, Tye Sheridan as Cyclops and Kodi Smit-McPhee as Nightcrawler.
