Azrael is Back in the Batman Armor for Detective Comics # 962

Detective Comics # 962 was solicited with a return of one of the more familiar characters to appear in a Batman comic book in the 90s. We’re talking about the Batman replacement Azrael.

‘Tec’s writer James Tynion IV reveals that Azrael will indeed making an appearance in Detective Comics # 962 where he once again wages war with the Order of St. Dumas.

It look bad ass if you ask me. Way better than that Silver Samurai-esque armor he was wearing pre-New 52

It’s actually been a while since we saw AN Azrael wear the Batman-Azrael costume and now I’m totally excited for this. Take note though that there were two individuals who called themselves Azrael. One was Jean Paul Valley and a new guy. Far as I remember though, Valley had died and made an appearance in Blackest Night as a Black Lantern.
