E3 2017: God of War 4 E3 2017 Trailer

Kratos is back and while he’s still a badass, he’s also gotten a bit… mellow and has an axe where he once slew gods with the Blades of Exile. Here’s the God of War 4 E3 2017 trailer which was released (duh) during E3 2017.

God of War 4 E3 2017 Trailer

So let’s see, we have a mellowed-yet-still-deadly former God of War going against what I assume are the Norse gods, a lot of father-son moments and tons of monsters in dire need of death. Hell, I was amazed in that scene in the God of War 4 E3 2017 trailer where they were actually talking to a smart Midgard Serpent aka Jörmungandr. Or that time in the trailer where we see Kratos beat the living snot out of that troll.

What We Know Based on the God of War 4 E3 2017 trailer

So before the unveiling of the new God of War 4 trailer, we get to find out the recent past between Kratos and his son Atreus, why we don’t see Atreus’ mother at any point in the game via sand art done by Joe Castillo.

USAGamer’s interview with GOW4 director Cory Barlog reveals that there’s a deeper meaning to shift from having a solo adventure with Kratos to something that has an all new dynamic. Atreus isn’t a burden unlike a certain heroine from another Playstation exclusive game *Elle*. Baby Kratos can fire arrows, shank people when they don’t expect it and even cast lightning bolts if the need be.

God of War 4 will be hitting stores 2018 from Santa Monico Studios and will be exclusively available for the Playstation 4.
