The Sentinels Gets an Upgraded Look [X-Men Gold # 4]

In this week’s X-Men: Gold # 4 we get a cliffhanger for the merry mutants with the return of the Sentinels.

The Sentinels are back in the fold in this new chapter of the X-Men’s lives. And like the mutant heroes we all love (and Marvel kinda hates) these mutant killers have gotten some upgrades of their own.

Here’s a look at the new Sentinels from X-Men: Gold # 4 by Marc Guggenheim and RB Silva with a Gambit cover by Ardian Syaf.

Spoiler Alert for X-Men Gold and some from X-Men Blue.

In this issue Gambit returns to the fold after he gets more than what he had bargained for. He takes an assignment to steal a new nannite system. Turns out his employer happens to be Bolivar Trask’s daughter.

Gambit says he’s had it with this shit and he decides that he would get this out of Trask’s hands. Unfortunately, the cannister breaks and it ends up interfacing with Trask’s AI.

And that’s how we end up with a Nannite-infused Sentinel.

Oh and meanwhile over at X-Men: Blue, we have Sentinels who think they are mutants.

Turns out these Sentinels were repurposed Sentinels reprogrammed by Bastion.
