Sweet Christmas! Diamond Select Toys to Release Luke Cage Minimates Wave

Sweet Christmas! Here’s our first look at the upcoming wave of Luke Cage minimates from Diamond Select Toys!

I enjoyed watching the Netflix series Marvel’s Luke Cage and I did binge watch that series. Sadly haven’t had the actual time to sit down and post a hardcore article about the series. Anyway, today we get a treat in the form of the Minimates wave featuring the characters from Luke Cage.

These figures have 14 points of articulation and retails for around $24.99 in the States. Locally if speciality shops like Comic Odyssey would import these figures, the entire wave would cost around Php 2,000. The wave will obviously feature Luke Cage (played by a social media-less Mike Colter). We’ve got two versions of him. One is the hooded version (who attacks the Crispus building in the series)…

No Beats by Dre earphones though.

The other Luke Cage minifig will feature Cage’s look after escaping from prison sans the yellow shirt.

Other figures you’ll get for the entire wave are Cottonmouth, Mariah Dillard aka Black Mariah and Misty Knight in her Detective attire.

There are a couple of figures and characters missing and we sincerely hope DST releases a set with them; these characters are Pops, Shades, Diamondback and Night Nurse who we’ve recently seen smooching Luke Cage in a scene being produced for Marvel’s The Defenders.
