First Look at Amber Heard as Mera for Justice League

Here’s our first look at Amber Heard as Mera, Aquaman’s consort/ wife/ partner in the upcoming film Justice League directed by Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice‘s Zack Snyder.

We see Amber Heard as Mera by the sea and she looks definitely ready to kick ass in her costume. What’s nice about this look that they gave Heard something that looks something like it was lifted from the comic books and at the same time incorporates some modern elements that was established for the DC Extended Universe.

Above you’ll see that the costume design doesn’t fall far from what we see in the actual photos featuring Amber Heard as Mera. We see the basics like the greenand the gold trimmings. The finished product Heard is seen wearing however ditches the flowing cape. It’s either that cape would be used for a different scene in the Justice League movie or they just removed the cape from the design completely.

Below is the concept artwork featuring Heard’s face superimposed on the Mera artwork. It looks nice, it lacks a weapon or some water power effects, but it does deliver on its intention which is to show the filmmakers what Heard would at least look like when the costume is finally popped in.

Now we want to see her and Aquaman (Jason Momoa) in one photo and give them a proper photoshoot. The sea demands that they should do it. Seriously, I can’t wait to see that. Here’s what the comic book counterparts look like.
