Power Rangers News – Bryan Cranston as Zordon, Teaser Poster Released
Today’s Power Rangers news includes the casting of Zordon for the movie as well as a peak at the new teaser poster.
Synopsis:
Saban’s Power Rangers follows five ordinary high school kids who must become something extraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove – and the world – is on the verge of being obliterated by an alien threat. Chosen by destiny, our heroes quickly discover that they are the only ones who can save the planet. But to do so they will have to overcome their real-life issues and band together as the Power Rangers before it is too late.
Above is the first teaser poster for the film which will be directed by Dean Israelite and will star Elizabeth Banks as Rita Repulsa. Naomi Scott is Kimberly Hart/ Pink Ranger, Becky G. as Trini Kwan/ Yellow Ranger, R.J. Cyler as Billy Cranston / Blue Ranger, Ludi Lin as Zack Taylor/ Black Ranger and Dacre Montgomery as Jason Lee/ Red Ranger.
Another interesting news is the casting of Bryan Cranston who will be lending his voice as Zordon, the powerful “mentor” for the Rangers.
Cranston on his Twitter account also shares his history with the original series, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers where he lent his voice a few times. It’s also Cranston’s involvement in this project that Billy the Blue Ranger got his last name of “Cranston”.
