Final Fantasy VII Episodes Would be Massive According to Square Enix

New updates for Final Fantasy VII particularly on the episodic nature of the remake.

If y’all remember the much-anticipated game was quickly blasted after Square Enix announced that it would be an episodic game rather than a complete game when release. Can’t blame the fans because its their money and they definitely want to see a completed game rather than bits and pieces.

Square never did comment back on that until recently during their interview for Game Informer. FF7’s producer Yoshinori Kitase explains their side for the multi-release of the remake and it kind of make sense to me.

It will essentially be a full scale game for each part of the multi-part series. In XIII, each instalment told the story from a different angle. It was kind of like approaching an unknown territory in a sense. Whereas with Final Fantasy VII Remake, we already have a preexisting story, so it wouldn’t really make sense if that isn’t encompassed in a multi-part series.

So if we’re just looking at each of these parts, one part should be on par with the scale of one Final Fantasy XIII game.

If they put it that way, then it makes sense. I mean there were 3 different Final Fantasy XIII and while all of them told a story, they were released at different times. Each also had its own story to tell which finishing the overall story. Since we ALL know Final Fantasy VII, maybe its time to learn the story from a different character’s perspective.
What I worry here though is just how close or how far the remake would be from the original game?
Awwtsu. Too bad we have to wait for a couple more years to find out how they want to do this.
