Nickelodeon’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Crosses Over with the 1980s TMNT

Nickelodeon announces an upcoming crossover featuring the current Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
and their 1980s counterpart.

Nick will be bringing in the 1980s voice actors of the Turtles namely Cam Clarke, Rob Paulsen, Barry Gordon and Townsend Coleman joins forces as Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo again in an episode entitled “Trans-Dimensional Turtles”.

The episode tells the story of all eight turtles joining forces to defeat 80’s Krang and the new Krang called Kraang Sub-Prime. The adventure will go between the 2D animation dimension then jump right back to the CG-animation version. They also do an adventure in the Mirage-verse that Kevin Eastman created decades ago. 

This is only part of a big adventure for season 4 of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles which will also add outer space to the Turtle’s stomping ground. Joining them for the adventure is the cyborg creature known as Fugitoid who will be voiced by David Tennant (Doctor Who, Jessica Jones).

Trans-Dimensional Turtles will air on March 27 at 11:00 and will also feature the voice of actor Pat Fraley who returns to the role of Krang.

Nickelodeon’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles voice cast includes: Seth Green (Robot Chicken) as Leonardo, Sean Astin (Lord of the Rings) as Raphael, Rob Paulsen (Planet Sheen) as Donatello, Greg Cipes (Teen Titans) as Michelangelo, Mae Whitman (Parenthood) as April O’Neil, Hoon Lee (Royal Pains) as Master Splinter and Kevin Michael Richardson (Penguins of Madagascar) as Shredder.  Josh Peck (Drake & Josh) is Casey Jones and Corey Feldman (The Goonies) reoccurs as Slash.

The Paramount Pictures feature film premiered Aug. 8, 2014, landing at #1 opening weekend with $65MM.  To date, the film has grossed $477MM worldwide and a sequel, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, is set to be released June 3, 2016.
